In 2025, BMJ advanced sustainability from a set of initiatives into an integrated management system, under the theme “Beyond Capability, Building Credibility for a Sustainable Future.” The company reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 17.54% through first-phase rooftop solar at Karawang and Kudus, a boiler transition from coal to biomass and gas, wider use of electric vehicles, and its PCC Plant, which avoided 3,773 tCO₂e. CDP Climate Change and Water Security scores improved, and BMJ retained its EcoVadis Bronze Medal with a higher score. On the social front, BMJ recorded zero fatal accidents, underwent SEDEX-SMETA social audits, and delivered CSR programs generating an SROI of 1:3.47. This fourth report is externally assured by CBC Global Indonesia under AA1000AS v3.
In 2024, BMJ strengthened its commitment to sustainability by implementing environmentally friendly practices, supporting social empowerment, and applying good corporate governance across all areas of operation. The company continued to improve efficiency in energy and water use while adopting cleaner production processes to reduce environmental impact.
